That's selective reading. The same article said that Gartner estimate is 26K units per year

Only someone deliberately trying to deceive would choose
to compare IDC to Gartner numbers instead of IDC to IDC
numbers.

Charlie has an estimate of 220K to date (of earlier this year)

Sounds about 30k to 50k processors too low for the sum of
2003 and 2004 and about 40 to 70k too low for all IPF MPUs
shipped to the end of 2004.

Anyway, Intel is not talking,

Actually Intel is talking plenty, but some folks just don't
want to hear anything good about IPF:
