The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has filed civil charges against another New York man for illegally selling billions of shares in pink sheets companies a three-year period. The SEC claims that Edward Bronson, a lawyer who runs an investment company called Fairhills Capital, bought stock at a discount directly from about 100 companies, including some Canadian listings. He then immediately resold the stock on the market, allegedly making $10-million in illegal profits. (All figures are in U.S. dollars.)
