AussiePup....If I gave the Attorney General much of a chance of derailing this round, I would sell today. There is always a chance for the unexpected here though I don't believe the investigation will result in anything seriously damaging.

Sao Tome is in dire need of oil monies and at the end of the day, I believe they'll see that light. This process has already survived one or two of Sao Tomes "investigation" and it moved on. I believe Carlos Gomes and crew have the necessary facts to support their decisions and subsequent awards of the blocks. For all the talk of transparency....you can bet your best pair of hunting boots that little has changed from past practices in terms of transparency. Nigeria will rule the roost and Offor is very much Nigerian!

It IS odd how the Attorney General's investigation is to conclude in 6 weeks time.....just about the same time as Carlos Gomes says the PSC's will be signed. Don't think Gomes doesn't carry substantial weight with STP....he was at one time considering a run at presidency. He is Sao Tomean and likely has the full support of the two individuals that signed the awards in the first place...i.e. Presidento Menezes and Obasanjo.

If anything, perhaps Art will prove to be correct and some of the indie's will be left out and ERHC and partners will end up with a larger interest in each block?????

Just my thoughts....
