Oh I know it works! I am a manifold cooking chef. When I was on an Army LCM in VN we used to cook everything on the exhaust manifolds of the diesals in the engine room.

We had just got finished putting a new bank of engines and I had painted the engine room white and one of my boatmates put on a can of pork and beans but he didn't put a vent in the top of the can. Nothing like a pork and bean explosion on the high seas to get the heart rate up. Man there were beans everywhere! LOL!!!
