Did you notice the author started the article saying:

"We think Peregrine Pharmasceuticals ... " He/She or they? use the word "we" 3 times in the first paragraph... and open the 2nd paragraph saying "In our opinion..." This is done to convey a message that seems to be from a group of experienced analysts which they are far from! ... simply by their closing words below which he/she now changes the story and gives a final disclosure that its of one opinion and they will lose money when the stock moves up.

The author who remains nameless after a negative article... quotes this below after the article is written...

""Disclosure: I am short PPHM. I wrote this article myself, and it expresses my own opinions. I am not receiving compensation for it. I have no business relationship with any company whose stock is mentioned in this article."

I suspect Adam Feurenstein caught a lot of his name being tossed around after his last piece and maybe AF again or someone who learned from his article and said no way I want my name out there, but want my opinion? Who the hell wants their name associated with shorting this stock and everyone wondering how many thousands or millions they lost on betting the wrong side : )
