Advertising and content network operator Adconion this morning announced that it has acquired smartclip, a European digital video advertising startup.

Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, but sources tell us this was an all-stock deal and no cash is changing hands in the transaction.

Looks to me that Adconion acquired Smartclip in order to further extend their services in Europe.

Where does Atrinsic fit in this picture, if at all??


The only thing we know now is that the office Atrinsic is moving into is the address listed for SmartClip, but that doesn't discount the possibility that SmartClip are simply moving elsewhere to make room for Atrinsic and that the online directories haven't updated to reflect this yet.

Oh wait they are in the online ad industry as well
