He only answers questions he knows he can attack. You're right. Why would Steve pay money to release something obviously not PR worthy when he can easily update those who care via an easier (and free) means. Why didn't that fruit company put out a PR today saying how many iPhones they sold? Steve knows what he's doing, so let him do his job or go find somewhere else to invest.
