Interesting discussion with my grandchildren yesterday. My granddaughter is now taking the unflavored Anatabloc (4/day) and is feeling much better. She reacted to the sucralose in the original formulation. She's had only one minor flareup of her colitus since starting on Anatabloc and that was when she could only tolerate two/day of the flavored ones.
My grandson, a 19 year old who wouldn't try Anatabloc until the results of the clinical trials were in, told me that when his stoma becomes irritated (he has an ostomy), he now takes the flavored ones his sister can't use and the swelling goes down much faster than whatever he considers 'normal'. He had no real answer when I asked him why he doesn't take them regularly instead of waiting until he has a problem. In addition to the colitus - which is gone now, along with his colon - he has Crohn's. Of course, he's also 19 and knows everything. Next year he won't be a teenager so hopefully he'll have an attack of the dumbs.
