And so, in other words, the shares aren't really "missing." You and I might not know where they are - in fact, there are millions of shares that we really don't know the individuals, companies, etc. who own them.

The sale of those shares captured attention and, to use an old quote, inquiring minds want to know.

But in the end - no missing shares, just sold shares.


I am very careful with rhetoric. The term "missing" could imply some underhanded or even illegal activity.

I don't think that is the case here.
