Thats a great question. If they sold Phoneguard, what would they do with phoneguard.com? This is just a guess, but maybe they could throw the website into the deal? Crazy I know, but if I bought the whole phoneguard line, and then heard that OPMG sold the domain name to someone else, I would probably sue OPMG for that. Then I would sue the kid who owns phoneguard.com for cyber-squatting, because I own the trademark.
Cyber-squatting is registering, trafficking in, or using a domain name with bad faith intent to profit from the goodwill of a trademark belonging to someone else. The cybersquatter then offers to sell the domain to the person or company who owns a trademark contained within the name at an inflated price.

Now with that said, THIS is why OPMG trademarked the product. They don't own phoneguard.com, someone else does. But now that they have the trademark, they can force whoever owns it to hand it back over. That man/woman/company will not get 100k for the domain name. OPMG is taking them to court <-- and since this is good news to investors, I do not need to supply a link!

It's far better to buy a wonderful company at a fair price than a fair company at a wonderful price.
