Source Tagging Solutions
Source tagging is the embedding of EAS security labels at either the point of manufacture or packaging to allow delivery of floor or display ready merchandise to the retail store. Under a source tagging program, tags are integrated into automated production processes and applied in primary packaging or within or on the product itself either under branding labels or prominently displayed. Dual Tag combines both acousto magnetic (AM) and radio frequency (RF) technologies in a high-speed, single-pass label. Triple Tag combines both AM and RF technologies, in addition to radio frequency identification (RFID) technology, in a single-pass label.
Sew-On Source Tagging Solutions
The Company provides manufacturers of soft-goods with an EAS solution. Its soft-goods source tagging solutions include Original NEXTag, NEXTag Slimline, NEXTag Jean and NEXTag Woven. Original NEXTag is the Company’s original design and is available in a variety of colors for garment and home fashion applications. NEXTag Slimline comprises Tyvek tag manufactured to a narrower width then the original design of the NEXTag. Designed for intimate apparel, this product is appropriate for any application where size is a constraint. NEXTag Jean is for the denim industry for tacking or stapling directly under the vendor tag that includes size, style number, bar code, retailer's variable data, which is the joker tag. The NEXTag Jean is denim blue in color. NEXTag Woven is an EAS label of woven fabric. This label is suited for decoration with logos, slogans and other graphics required to enhance merchandising appeal.
Drop-in Source Tagging Solutions
Drop-in source tagging solutions is an EAS tagging solution that is not affixed to the item or the packaging, but rather placed loose inside the product packaging or hidden in compartments, such as garment pockets or empty battery casings in items requiring batteries. This solution is a hard goods EAS solution that includes Original NEXTag and NEXTagTyvek.
Attachable Source Tagging Solutions
Attachable source tagging solutions comprise wrap tags, luggage tags and logo tags. Wrap tags comprise triple-reinforced vinyl tags that are designed for easy application, deliver tear resistance and can be custom sized. Applications include electrical cords, footwear, fishing rods, plumbing and other hard good items. Luggage tags comprise tear resistant vinyl tag designed for swift-attached applications. Logo Tag comprises printed paper hang tag that is plastic laminated for tear resistance. Applications include branded apparel, children and infant apparel, footwear and sunglasses.
Adhesive Source Tagging Solutions and Custom Source Tagging Solutions
Adhesive source tagging solutions comprise meat tag and foamback tag. Meat tag is a specialized adhesive in a microwave-safe Sensormatic label or in a moisture-proof, microwave safe RF version for packaged meat or frozen food applications. Foamback tag is able to maintain sensor function in metallic applications. The flexibility of a foam backing also enables effective placement on concave or convex surfaces. Custom Source Tagging Solutions comprise customized products designed to address source tagging requirements, such as limited size or space, concave surfaces or microwave environments.
Sensormatic Label Distributor
The Company is also an authorized distributor of Sensormatic EAS labels. The Sensormatic EAS label is an AM label and can be found inside some of the Company’s products, such as its DUAL Tag. It also acts as a distributor of Sensormatic's EAS labels in the non-installed or raw form so that its customers can affix the label directly onto their products before sending them to the retailer. Manufacturers, suppliers and distributors buy the raw Sensormatic sensor from the Company and affix them to the inside of their packaging using its labels, thus making the merchandise source tagging compliant for the retail customer.
