South Carolina has an income tax and a property tax.Gov Sanford tried to introduce the fairtax to SC and eliminate the income tax but the Dem.legislature struck it down. the property tax for now is not too bad but you know how that can change.local gov. gives tax breaks to lure in business.i don't understand why they cant get it through they'r thick heads that if they just got rid of the income tax altogether that we would become a tax haven to business allover the country.
