Would it not be more practical (from every possible perspective) to request multiple TR's instead of pursuing another Ammendment?

The Ammendment process is time consuming and (I imagine) rather costly. Perhaps this is a not so subtle "nudge" to direct CGFIA as to the path they should follow. ??
