Bbda should have (hopefully) a shot version/smaller bottle in the works. I think they could have smaller bottles and be ok as the current version has more than enough melatonin for a good nights sleep.

They already have it and have for quite a while. Koma Unwind is available in a shot form (though I think that's Melatonin free), They have Relax 5, as well. I believe Koma Unwind Zero, created for the European market, is also Melatonin free. Problem being that Melatonin is the main ingredient that makes the product effective. Take it out and you are eliminating a portion of the potential appeal.

Marketing efforts might not directly translate from a 12oz can to a shot, placement in stores is different, etc. At any rate, they have shot sized stuff already and alternative formulations, etc. I'm not saying a dietary supplement related ruling would kill the company, but it would have an impact. That's all.

History-wise, it's not easy to define. In Jan 2010, the makers of Drank were slapped by the FDA which led to the current Dietary Supplement labeling requirement for food products containing Melatonin, including Koma Unwind. The current move has evolved from that. There's political aspects to it, etc. It's pretty convoluted, but it's real. No guarantee it's going to amount to anything, but it's worth being aware of if one is thinking of an investment in a company with a flagship product in a 12 oz an that contains Melatonin.
