tob999, I understand the short share numbers to be a total outstanding snapshot at any given time, and not something that is additive into an cumulative summary (e.g., 230M in 10 days). As such, all that can really be said is that there are just under 34 million short shares outstanding as of yesterday or about US$3,400 worth. Yes, enough to still be painful if they weren't closed out and the stock jumped up to a penny with some good merger news.
