promaster12, Google ECN Trading System. It is an independent trading system which matches buys and sells. I think they are 11 or 12 different mm's that trade ECN. Etrade has a bracket you can enter to do ECN trading. Never tried it. The SEC has a report on its website which explaines ECN Trading.

NSS shorting that causes FTD's is against the law.
