It's not going to happen. BBDA doesn't own the trademarks to the products it markets, so there would be no reason for Coke, Pepsi or anyone else to buy BBDA unless ownership of the products is transferred to BBDA. BBDA currently claims 30% equity in the Private Corp that own the trademarks. BBDA actually owns very little of any value according to the assets listed in their most recent reports.
It says right at the top of all the PRs that BBDA develops, markets and manufactures the products. (Actually they are manufactured by a contract bottler - BBDA has no manufacturing facility) You can look up at the US Patent and Trade Office who owns the trademarks for the products. Supporters will pass this off as "the way other companies do it" but are ignoring a few important points:
The private corporation (DLR Associates) that owns the trademarks is owned by the Bebevco CEO and COO and it predates BBDA.
The CEO and COO own no common shares of BBDA.
There is nothing known about the financial arrangements between DLR and BBDA.
