Another thing about the 10K / 20K. Cant recoup all of your engineering, molds, R&D, etc. all at the beginning. I am guessing they know that and are pricng accordingly. Best thing to do is defer all those expenses to the end if possible. It is more important to hit the market as cheap as possible and slowly go up vs the opposite.

I was forced to do that to get into the market. Dist. and retailers would not touch it at my first asking price. Was a very humbling experience for sure. I remember thinking I was going to be a millionaire. Here it is 5 years later and have sold about a million in product. HEHE !! Where did all the profit go ? (:)
