Not exactly. This had happened to MITI, where a large offering occurred when the company had a very large cash position for a small biotech from an offering not too long ago. They didn't announce pricing after a few days, but eventually priced much lower than when the deal was announced - not to the extent of EXEL situation right now. The share price was underperforming for a few months, but recovered afterwards. I actually bought below offering price, got rewarded later on. I am not suggesting this would happen to EXEL though.
