AndrewL...

First, I am not out to convert you or anyone else here - I am only presenting the Biblical Christian viewpoint. You are perfectly free to reject anything I say and to reject the Bible itself as you obviously do. That is between you and the Lord, not me.

"Fundamentalists look for comfort in the past, but fear the future."

Fundamentalists look for comfort only from the Lord, not the past, and believe me - no Christian that believes the Bible fears the future. We have read the book and already know the ending.

"does he know any homosexuals personally? If so, is he attempting to get them to "give up the struggle, and leave the 'lifestyle' behind"?"

If the homosexual is a Christian, the answer to your question is "yes". We are instructed to do so by the Lord. If the person is not a Christian, his homosexuality is a symptom and not the problem. The problem is that he needs to accept Jesus as his Lord and Savior for the forgiveness of all of his sins, not just for the homosexual behavior.

You are welcome to your beliefs and I do not judge you for them or try to change them (please allow me the same courtesy). Your beliefs are between you and God, whom I believe you will stand before some day to answer for them.
