Sem1, my friend, sale of CGFI is a distinct possibility, and one I may welcome enthusiastically! (depending on the company and the negotiated price.)
However, there will be a need for a company value established before the sale. That value will come from the market cap, (and the assets) which will be effected by the value of the mines (assay results) and the productivity of the mill.
The better the results, the higher the sale price, if it is under negotiations for sale.
So you are correct, it is premature to try to place a price or future value on the shares. I think that is what StickyTree and I were saying. But at the same time a rough value is not a totally frivolous exercise. Ball park figures, used to approximate the value of the company, are a handy tool to have. (Realizing they will change as more information is available.) They are also good to help plan the sale of some stock.
If you can help us out with our exercise in valuing the company, please do! Your opinion is always valued by many of us.
Thanks!
