Most of us here have probably made that mistake one time or another. But you learn. I no longer try to predict all low entries and high exists. Instead, if the stock is something that warrants doing so, I buy on the dips. That way I increase my shares at any available discount. That is how I lowered my per cost basis on KMAG and am already well in the green as of yesterday.

Buying the dips may not be considered as savvy as someone who claims to have flipped in and out and now has tons of free trading shares. But I have a job and other responsibilities and interests. I get bored trying to be a day trader, and I don't have the time to play that way consistently, which means I will likely get hurt.
