Mutating something short term on a small scale is no guarantee that it can be done on an immense scale over a long period of time with consistent results...that is what I said...do not reword it to make it appear I said otherwise...and that statement is not illogical...

OK, the problem here MOJO is that you do not understand any of the science.
Not just the science used by KBLB, you do not understand even the basics of Mendellian genetics or of animal husbandry or "farm science" or agriculture.

KBLB does not have to "Mutate something...on an immense scale over a long period of time with consistent results..."
that is what you said... Your own words! And it IS Illogical!

The transgenic "mutation" is done ONCE! the worms are then made homozygous (all identical in their genetics, like identical twins).
After this, The Worms Breed True! Every worm, in every generation, even after the population numbers in the hundreds of millions, even after ten thousand generations.
There are no evil mad scientists involved in the increase to production numbers or in the persistence of the engendered trait over time.
The Worms Breed True!
This is their Nature. This is how nature works.
As it says in the bible: ... each acording to its own kind!

“And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.” (Genesis 1:11-12 KJV)

On day six, God created all living animals that move upon the dry land, saying,

“And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.” (Genesis 1:24-25 KJV)

Not exactly rocket science. As shown above, people have known and used these basic facts of farming and animal husbandry for literally 6,000 years.

"One of the classic definitions of madness is doing the same thing over and over again, with the same result each time, yet expecting a different result the next time you do it. "

Making a few mutated silk worms and then assuming you can do it millions of time over a long period of of time with no problems is madness?....lol

Seems like you did not understand this either. Your comment is the reverse of the quote!

"Hundreds, perhaps thousands HAVE seen it! "

They have seen the large scale production, the results, with consistency?....no, I don't think so...

The Point IS, that once you have seen one homozygous transgenic chimeric silkworm, you have seen them all!
