I hate when stupid PRs don't differentiate between the Authorized Shares vs. the Outstanding Shares vs. the Issued Shares. There is a difference, you know. It tends to suggest that the CEO really doesn't know what he or she is talking about. And that's never a good sign!
It doesn't matter if there's 17,000,000,000,000,000,000 shares AUTHORIZED, because those shares must first be ISSUED to be OUTSTANDING. And even then, the "float" isn't necessarily all that's OUTSTANDING.
OK, so the AS is 3 billion....
