Interesting read. I personally have no prediction on the future of CTLM based on the article you have mentioned. Based on my readings, the girls' device has successfully diagnosed 99% of malignant tumors in her 700 person sample. Taking into consideration the fact that, according to the 2010 census, there are 151.8 million women in the United States, and the fact that her sample was only 700 persons -medical history of said women being unknown (by me), the actual success rate of her product is, in my opinion, still unknown (statistics change with quantity).
It is a product that does not identify tumors/lumps, but can classify and diagnose them, unlike CTLM which would identify not only existing tumors/lumps, but also newly forming ones that are otherwise extremely hard to image. For now, they're incomparable. However, I do see them both to be a good combination for future diagnosis of both breast cancer and lumps.
