Cyber Defense Systems Offers Assistance to City of New Orleans and Other Areas Hit by Hurricane Katrina
Friday September 2, 12:44 pm ET

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 2, 2005--Cyber Defense Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:CYDF - News), a designer and developer of next generation unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV's) and an operating subsidiary of Proxity, Inc. (Pink Sheets: PRXT - News), today announced it is offering the Company's UAV's to patrol areas hit by Hurricane Katrina.

Cyber is offering assistance to FEMA, Louisiana National Guard, New Orleans Police Department, and the New Orleans Homeland Defense department.

Cyber's UAV's are lightweight, portable, easily deployable and capable of monitoring disaster areas. The UAV's would be used to; identify those in need of assistance, secure safe locations, help identify looting and provide persistent surveillance to these areas.

With this technology rescue efforts would be substantially more efficient and cost effective. Often times, search and rescue teams waste valuable fuel while in the field, without finding those in need. These fuel efficient UAV's, which are remote controlled by a ground operator, would allow the money used for fuel to be allocated for more pressing needs.

In addition to helping in rescue efforts, UAV's would be used in the effort to control looting. With the UAV's providing surveillance, police officers would then be able to spend more time and energy towards evacuations and rescues.

"This tragedy is something that most likely affects much of America, it is not only the home office of Proxity, but has personal significance to me, in that my wife Desai and I have family and deep roots in New Orleans," commented Mr. Billy Robinson, CEO of Cyber Defense Systems. "We have offered Local, State and Federal officials the use of our UAV's to help monitor and survey the damage done by Hurricane Katrina. Our hearts go out to the people throughout the nation that have been affected by the Hurricane and we will do whatever we can as a Company to assist in relief efforts."
