These companies have loans to pay off, employees to pay, insurance, rent on the building. All of that comes first before there is money recorded as profits. All these things take time. If you've ever tried starting a company then you'll know this. Once they start recording profits.
And dilution... why do you think these companies go public in the first place? They need money to get their business going. they sell off shares so they can grow their business.
