Here's my deal about PhoneGuard. I have it on my cell. Free version from last summer. I don't text and drive anyway. But I like it because (business-wise) I can turn on the app when I am driving and I don't have to be bothered by anyone and it will let them know that I will get back with them when I reach my destination. So, I don't have to think about any texts or phone calls. And when I get to where I am going, I can screen through them.

I've never had a problem with it at all. I don't have an iPhone.. Mine is Android. Works great. You have to have your GPS on. If your GPS drains your battery, then it may drain down your battery a little quicker. But, plug it in.. charge it while you are driving. Not rocket science.
