Interesting that the TIME Mag. article say that the 5 year survival rates for rectum cancer are 67%...while the press release states..."According to the National Cancer Institute, approximately 50,000 new cases of rectal adenocarcinoma will be diagnosed in 2012. The 5-year survival rate for Stage IV rectal cancer is estimated to be 6%." I think the study itself is going after Stage II and III disease.

They continue to go after tough indications. A great strategy and what good news for the patients!
