TA in the pennies can be used more of a caution indicator.. in the pennies.. allowing you to see if its being manipulated.. if you look at a penny because its being promoted then its pretty easy to see if there was frontloading.. usually the frontloading is what causes the TA to look good on the chart then they promo it saying the chart looks good and everyone buys in because it looks good.. then the price holds for a day or two while the frontloaders liquidate their shares and the BOOM! it gets dumped.. and all of the promo players get burned..
i signed up for a lot of penny alerts and promo emails for the simple fact of making sure I don't try and flip anything with a promo.. and if i am in a stock that starts to get promo'd i'll watch it more closely and take my profits a little sooner..
i would say that it works to an extent down here in the pennies but its a much more fluid environment than the bigger boards... you have to constantly watch every penny that you are in
