Pretty attractive concept...only problem is reality tends to get in the way. The stock goes up instead of down & you end up hurting & loosing your collateral (other secured stock holdings)...the house always holds the better odds. The perils of 'buying on margin' (the more common term for this method of trading) are well documented by legions of traders & can be found in abundance across the web. And admittedly, I too, paid dearly to learn this lesson.
