Here is a summary of our discussion:

One phrase summarizes the horror of hell. "God isn't there." Max Lucado

Psalm 139:7-8
7 Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?

8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.

Revelation 14:9-11
9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

We were talking about hell and you threw a monkey wrench into the discussion. LOL! You responded with Revelation 20, specifically about the lake of fire. The lake of fire is mentioned only four times in the Bible, all in Revelation and it tells us little about it except it is the lake of fire.

Revelation 19:20
And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Revelation 20:10
And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Revelation 20:14
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Revelation 20:15
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

I did find some more scripture:

2 Thessalonians 1:8-9

8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

I do not believe one verse negates another verse in the Bible, but I do believe that there is far more in it than any of us can comprehend. Is God in the lake of fire? God was in hell and hell was cast into the lake of fire. I believe God knows everything that is going on there. But aside from that we have no more scriptures about it other than in Revelation.

It is so nice to discuss scripture and learn. Have a good weekend everyone and may God bless you all.
