The investor simply tells their brokerage that they don't want them sitting in the account and taking up space any longer. Then the brokerage just takes them out at no value and they are gone.
Where they go I do not know....LOL
But, they are gone and the investor doesn't have to stare at that mistake any longer.
We've seen a lot of this over the last 2 months. Far more shares are being retired at no value than are actually being bought. In fact, I think there has only been 5 dollars worth of actual trades this month so far.
I invest in companies that I think will make me money. And everything I say is just my opinion.
