From a web site it's easy. Bring up the picture in your browser and copy the URL. To the left of the text box for creation posts there's a columb of buttons. the 4th one down is 'Image'. Click on it and it inserts the 'picture follows' and 'picture ends' tags into your message. Place your cursor between the tags and paste the URL. Voila! when you see the post, it will have the picture embedded. Such as:
