Ahhh, you see the global warming pundits use above normal temps and below normal temps to cry "GLOBAL WARMING"!!! The other side like to use the scientific facts that the earth goes through very cyclic weather/climatic changes.
Hell, we had a couple of ice ages when the earth was sparsely populated. The same can be said about the past abnormal high temperatures/climate.
I'll be 60 in less than two weeks and I remember ( thankfully I can still remember some things) when we had record cold and snowy winters and no one cried about global warming.
Baaahhhh ... all I can say is ... The sky is falling, the sky is falling.
