it seems to me in the penny stock world many people buy stock ... by heart and not by brain.

Given I was one of those you speak of at one time...I agree with you completely. Buy in to the story, the hope, the dreams of buying corvettes. Then comes the ones who spoon feed you and next thing ya know..you're making excuses for everything wrong the company does. The slow decline seems almost invisible as you try not to notice things anymore, don't read the board and just don't look at your account and keep saying "it's a LONG term investment, it will be fine". 20K in the red and you have no choice but to believe so you don't hate yourself for being so stupid.

Yep...did that. Did make most of my money back but...the lesson was priceless.
