HTC shipped 4.9 million handsets in 2005.....


"HTC CEO H T Cho said the company may ship a second 3G handset later this year, but in any case will next year increase the number of 3G devices it offers. He also said the company will have shipped some 4.9m handsets in 2005, up from 3.7m last year.

HTC said it made sales totalling TWD5.1bn ($163m) in May, up 81.3 per cent on May 2004's total. "
