DD...I hope you remark was supposed to be a joke....

the 1% had a huge transfer of wealth to them for no reason other than they had the political muscle to change tax laws and transfer the tax burden to the middle class,

but, let's look at your absurdity for a moment....

it's absurd because money was NOT taken from the middle class and the money given to the top 1%.....

how does that wealth transer occur?

does the IRS collect the tax money and then the IRS write the rich folks a check????

this is even more absurd because the number of people paying federal income tax has been steadily declining and the welfare roles steadily increasing....

2% of the people in this nation pay over 40% of the tax and the top 5% of the taxpayers pay over 60% of all income tax.....

that means 95% of the shrinking pool of tax payers contribute just about 40% of the personal income tax to the government....

THAT'S A DISGRACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

but, beyond that fact being a disgrace, it means that your SUPPOSED ABUSED MIDDLE CLASS pays almost nothing....while the other half of the progressives constituency sits on their ass and does nothing....

c'mon, DD....you're a lot smarter than that.....
