If you plan on digging further into XBOR I might suggest that you acquaint yourself with RDMP. Not much to glean from the public filings at this early date but it's the deep pockets behind it that will lead to unlocking the potential of the XBOR acreage. RDMP owns 43% of XBOR and is still acquiring shares.
You sound like you know the Permian. You probably know by now you either have it or you don't in the Permian. There are many "company's" in the Permian that are promoted on wastelands touted as being prospective acreage. You should have no problem separating the wheat from the chaff if you check around.
