Peg, for sure .. yes, less frequent payments would save money, our two weekly one, OR if you wanted to go further one payment per month, or even two months would save more in distribution, plus governments would have more to invest in short term money markets when there is some interest earning to be gained there .. the other consideration is from the recipients side .. it might help some to learn to manage money more .. then again, with less frequent payments there could be more and other difficulties from the recipients side, too ..

lol .. this because i wasn't 100% on your first reply what you meant by bimonthly, so i
had to check, and only then LEARNED that bimonthly has two equally valid meanings ..

Does 'bimonthly' mean 'twice a month' or 'every two months'?

Unfortunately it means both! In the publishing industry, though, it's used fairly consistently to mean 'every two months', so that a bimonthly magazine is generally one that's issued every two months. The same ambiguity affects biweekly and biyearly. If you want to be absolutely clear, it's best to use a phrase such as 'twice a week' or 'every two years'

and checked other places with the same result .. that's not having any go at you, at all .. i just
wasn't sure .. i guessed your bimonthly meant every two weeks .. lol, flipped a coin and was wrong .. :)

It was Plato who said, “He, O men, is the wisest, who like Socrates, knows that his wisdom is in truth worth nothing”
