you know, I contacted Apple IR about a week ago and asked them if the company had any plans to become more compatible with some of the DRMs that CDs are coming out with, she said that the current methods out there produce files that are below the standards that IPod users are used to and want, that ITunes can deliver DRM that is far better listening quality than the files produced by the DRMs that a couple of record companies are trying out, also that Apple has no desire to step backwards in the quality that they can offer to their customers, she also said that ITunes is still growing at an incredible rate, that the only pressure that they are feeling is the pressure of growing pains and trying to keep up with demand,I couldnt get her to name any particular DRM that they feel is subpare in quality but my impression is that she was speaking of them all.
Just FYI
