Good morning all, Many of you have impressed
me in the past with your knowledge of the
wireless sector. So a quick question before
I get ready for work, because im surprised
why no one has touched on this. From the Sleipner S A
website, what is this saying about what they
have, this coMob, a true seamless mobility SIP-compliant
client capable of contiguos communications across networks.
Is it something that works along with ASNAP. Is
this statement not like ASNAP, what do they have
that is going in Calypso's phone.

Using its in-house exeperience in middleware Sleipner has also introduced comMander, an SMS-to-phone shell that extends the control functions of a smartphone making them available through SMS.

With coMob Sleipner has created a real integration between GSM and WiFi platforms designing a unique application: a fully SIP-compliant softphone that handles GSM calls and WiFi VOIP communication. The result is a solution that can enable a GSM/WiFi device to be a PBX extension in an office and a GSM device both in the office and everywhere. When receiving a GSM call during a VOIP communication, coMob can switch between the two services.

comMander is a software that shows the complete integration between SMS and phone functions.
Sleipner has developed an integration framework that is capable to execute all smartphone functions through written SMS commands. comMander listen in for incoming SMS containing commands.
Any SMS capable phone can send commands to the application via SMS, once the SMS is received, comMander parses it and the embedded command is executed.
