That only applies for that broker (and probably most discounted brokerages). Perhaps you should read an intro book like the one I mentioned before. Even Colorado1 as you called "some rookie ihub trader" was aware of that. That is why there is a difference in pricing among brokerages. Some will allow you to access other markets and/or allow you to trade OTC at non-standard times. Otherwise most people will go for the cheapest service available without considering other factors.
