sorry, AW. i like your style, you seem like a good and earnest fellow, but there's no reason to defend what charles volk has done to the company.
you know that expression "your eyes are bigger than your stomach"? well, imo (and i challenge anyone to make a case to the contrary) volk blew out our share structure on toxic debt so he could purchase too many assets, too early.
what in the heck is wrong with flowing oil first, from any asset, and then spending cash financed at much more favorable terms, to purchase new leases?
if volk had "no choice", then he shouldn't have spent the money. period!
volk also had a couple of years to get some oil flowing before he ever got mason involved, and failed there. two years is long enough in my book -- he couldn't perform.
anyway, you already know how i feel. i'm glad to be in the stock, i think mason will do well for us, but i think volk really put mason behind the 8-ball and for no good reason.
volk should be shoveling coal into the boiler of the dularge, or polishing mason's shoes, not messing around with our cash to drive a "jaquar (or equivalent)". good grief.
