Austin01, the publicity "Step Into Liquid" got in Santa Barbara could not have been bought. Four FM radio stations, one AM radio station, three newspapers and the work of hundreds of volunteers blanketed the city with the movie. It was THE thing to do Saturday night in Santa Barbara. There were 500 people at the pre-movie VIP party (including several journalists) and 4,000 people saw the film later that night in two separate showings. The museum says they would have easily sold out another two shows. Any distributor sitting in the audience had to be impressed (1) with the movie itself and (2) with the audience reaction to it, which was overwhelmingly positive. The reviews starting to come out on the film are also extremely positive.

What is the value added to the film of all of this? Publicity for any film is gold and we certainly received a good share of it. More importantly, the distributors had to come away with a warm fuzzy feeling after seeing the audience reaction. That has to increase the chances of signing a deal with one of them.

So while I can't estimate a monetary amount to attach to all of this, my guess is that it is significant.

My excitement in all of this is that, ironically, after all this time, the crazy movie that nobody cared about looks like it could well fund the company all the way through revenues from the tech. Not bad at all.
