We are talking about health care, at one time the issue was food safety, then it was clean air and water, then there was probably a 1000 other issues that have had Americans realize that its time to address the problem.
Nothing is ever as black and white as some would like us to think, they are complex issues that take in a wide range of topics. Its never as simple as just health care for the masses.
Now one side wants us to think that health care is a tax, even thou 250 millions buy it in one form or another. They purchase health care either on there own, or through a group, or through there employer. It is not a tax, as one side would like to call it, its a service, like any other service that is purchased.
There are 50 million Americans who do not have health care, and those people still have health issues, but instead of dealing with them, they use the service and not pay for it. To these people it could be a tax, thats there choice, if they continue to not get health insurance, then they will gradually pay a portion of there income as a tax.
One side has lost the discussion on health care, and now wants everyone to believe that everyone will now have to pay a tax. Wrong, if you have health care, you don't pay any additional taxes.
As for Robert's and why he made his decision, well that decision will probably always be his to own. Everyone will watch him in the years to come and wonder how he will decide future issues. What isn't be talked about is the other eight justices, there are four liberal, and four conservative justices, and they all voted just like everyone thought they would. The only wild card was Robert's, on this decision he took a stand, and it has really thrown the conservatives a curve ball. Now they want to spin it as either a tax, or a way to rally there base. The discussion should be health care, and how we continue to make it better for all Americans to enjoy. Maybe one side wants us to go back to having NO health care for anyone with a pre-exisitng condition, or the millions of children who are born with a condition that bankrupts the average american family. Then there is the life-time cap that many insurers have, most people are unaware of that one, that is until they use it up when they get sick. You think one million dollars is alot, that is until you get a major medical problem, and see that it can add up in just a few months. Maybe one side dosen't like the idea of children being able to stay on there parents plan for another six years. We are talking health care, and how America is going to pay for a medical system that seems to only get more expensive each year.
One side wants to go back and discuss the issue, and come up with a new way, well its been over 100 years since this issue was first brought up, and Obama used up all of his political capital to get the Affordable Health Act signed into law in 2010. Its two years later, and one side has exhausted every measure they could, all the way up to the Supreme Court, and they still LOST !! Instead of working to make health care better for all, they want all Americans to go back to no health care, and problems for millions of Americans. But thats what some politicians do, they love to talk, but again that dosen't solve the problem of anyone who has to deal with a health issue.
