Of course, it depends how much money is invested that determines the worthiness of selling at a 2% gain..
2% of $1000 is a mere $20. (not worth the sell...unless the stock has no further direction)
2% of $10000 is a little better at $200. (nice gain as well...would likely sell.)
2% of $100000 is a cool $2000. (I'd sell at that point...*LOL*)
