Funny that you started this thread today! I just came back from a very uneventful trip to one of the casinos in Connecticut. The place was packed so I couldn't get near a table and since we were expecting a major snowstorm (it's here now) we left fairly early.
The good thing about blackjack is that unless you are totally having a bad day, you can sit for hours and not lose a ton of money. I remember playing at AC for about 6 hours straight one day. I walked away ahead only about 70 or 80 dollars but if I had spent that same 6 hours at the slots I probably could have dropped 3 or 4 hundred!
I am fairly good at blackjack (at least I know the basic strategy) but one time when I played late late at night I made a really stupid move. I don't even remember what it was but it was dumb! There was another woman at the table that I am convinced if she had a knife she would have put it through my heart!! She carried on for about 5 hands. She was trying to intimidate me into leaving, but all she did was make me stay longer than I had originally planned on staying. She eventually left.
