You're thinking small picture USA. When A/Cs go out here, they get fixed by a mechanic the next day ;)

Coal WORLDWIDE is a different story. Where I am from, it is what 60% of people still have in their homes and use as heat. Many countries in Europe still depend on coal for heat in their FREEEEEZING winters.
