Hey all, I'm a 19 yr old that started getting into investing around the end of last year.
I've probably done the most impulsive and stupidest thing today.

I actually invested in ARNA back when it was 5.89 (only bought 13 shares)
I added in another 400 when it hit around the mid 8's.
I held it through, even last week and didn't sell despite that jump to $12 and drop back to 8 and some change.
To my own surprise, I was actually pretty confident that the drug would be approved today and I even marked it on my phone to remind me. I kept watch on my Ameritrade app and marketwatch.com, suddenly seeing an article that it got approved!

I jumped as much as the share price did when I saw it hit $13.50, then it slowly dove down.. When it dove under $11, I panicked a bit and sold all of them at 11.05..
Before the approval even happened, I already knew in my mind that if it did get approved, it would be one of the biggest growth companies in the biotech industry due to it's specialization in anti-obesity.
But this decision in selling was SO impulsive that I totally blocked that idea out. I panicked and sold.

After I sold, I came back to reality and kicked myself in the ass. I decided to buy back at 11.15, however, only half of the cash I had was available since the other half ended up being unsettled..
So now, I'm stuck with 200 shares that I bought back in and another $2200 that isn't available for trading.
By the time I get that money (which will probably be Friday), the share price will most likely hit 12 or 13.

Should I even reinvest? Even tho 99% will be that it'll profit in the future. Or should I just take that and invest in smoething else?

Either way, I'm already in the green, I just hate myself for making that stupid mistake.

But hey, that's how the game is right?

Anyways, sorry for the long post! I just wanted to put my thoughts . I've actually gotten really into investments, researching a lot.

I am long ARNA! GLTA!
